Answering questions: Bard can answer questions in a comprehensive and informative way. It can access and process data from the real world through Google Search to provide users with up-to-date information.

Generating creative content: Bard can generate creative content in different text formats, such as poems, code, scripts, musical pieces, email, letters, etc.

Multiple language support and translation: Bard supports interaction with users in nearly 50 languages and is capable to translate around 70 languages in both ways.

Uploading and processing media files: Users can upload text files through the chat window for Bard to access and process them, as well as images and videos for Bard to generate information based on their contents. For example, Bard can answer questions about the video, generate transcripts, summarize the video, and translate it into another language.

Saving chat sessions and response modes: Bard can save recent chat sessions up to 72 hours and users can ask Bard to modify output in different response modes, from more casual and shorter forms to more professional and longer.

Does Bard give accurate and safe responses?

Bard is experimental and some of the responses may be inaccurate, so please double-check the information in Bard’s responses. With your feedback, Bard is getting better every day. Before Bard was launched publicly, thousands of testers were involved to provide feedback to help Bard improve its quality, safety and accuracy.

How and when does Bard cite sources in its responses?

Bard, like some other standalone LLM experiences, is intended to generate original content and not replicate existing content at length. The system is designed to limit the chances of this occurring. If Bard does quote directly and at length from a web page, it will cite the page in question. For answers with image thumbnails, Bard enables users to easily see and click to navigate directly to a source for each image.

Can Bard help with coding?

Yes, Bard can help with coding and topics about coding, but Bard is still experimental and you’re responsible for your use of code or coding explanations. You should therefore use discretion and carefully test and review all code for errors, bugs, and vulnerabilities before relying on it.
