We accessed Perplexity AI through its website and signed up with a Google account. While it works without an account, registering with Google, Apple, or SSO unlocks more features and personalization.

⬇️Ask a Basic Question

We typed a simple question such as "What is the capital of Kazakhstan?" into the search bar. The AI provided an accurate, straightforward answer: "Astana," and a citation link to the source. The response was delivered promptly, and the source was clickable for verification.

⬇️ Test a Complex Query

We asked a more complex question: "Can you explain the concept of relativity in simple terms?" using Pro search (3 Pro searches a day included in a free account). You can select different search modes (such as general, academic, or creative) by clicking on the corresponding toggle below the input box. The AI responded with a clear, well-structured explanation of the theory of relativity, and summarized the findings. The answer was backed by credible sources.

⬇️Test "My Space" Feature

We uploaded a document into Perplexity AI’s "My Space" and set AI instructions to convert complex material into a briefing document. We tested its functionality by asking detailed questions related to the content of the uploaded document and verified how accurately the AI responded by providing simplified explanations. This feature allows for efficient document analysis and information extraction.

Next, we added resources to the Space and shared them with collaborators to create a group knowledge base. We tested the collaboration feature, inviting others to view, edit, and contribute to the Space. This feature was designed for seamless teamwork and knowledge sharing, allowing all users to access, discuss, and update the resources in real-time.
