We use Stripe for card payments on our site, where customers top up a balance from $10. The API was easy to connect to our own backend, every payment shows up in the dashboard right away, and payouts reach our bank account reliably. The fees are noticeable on many small top-ups, and we still run our own fraud checks on top of Stripe's, but for card payments it has been dependable for us.

Setup is super easy, and i use stipe managed payments to cover any taxes for my saas websites. Issues are of course with high fees, disgustingly high tbh and also I dont like how reliant we are on stripe, if they upped our fees even more we would have to go a lot of heavy lifting to switch to a competitor.

Setting up payments was straightforward. Fees add up though and the dashboard has a lot to dig through.

I bill my product Keegix through Stripe, which handles a $9 CAD per-property monthly subscription and a one-time $39 setup fee. I gave Keegix its own Stripe account inside my company’s organisation, so its billing stays separate from my other business, and that was easy to set up. Customers can cancel from the billing page themselves, which saves me support work. The docs are good, but there are a lot of settings to get through the first time.

We've been using Stripe for years for subscriptions and payments, and it's worked really well for us. The API is great and we've rarely had any issues. Some of the settings can be a bit confusing to figure out, and the fees aren't cheap, but overall we're happy with it.

All of ScribeToAny’s payments go through Stripe: Checkout for monthly and annual plans plus one-time minute packs, the customer portal for self-serve billing, and webhooks that update our database. When a customer’s bank declined a renewal, Stripe’s automatic retry collected it a couple of days later without me doing anything. Things to know: set each product’s tax category yourself instead of leaving the general default, and test your webhooks in test mode before going live. The docs are some of the best I’ve used.
