Coda’s combination of docs, tables, and workflows makes it easy to build a custom workspace. As a doc gets more complex, though, it can become hard to tell how a button or automation will affect the underlying data. A clearer preview of actions and dependencies would make it easier to manage workflows with confidence.
Quip makes it convenient to discuss work alongside the documents and spreadsheets it relates to. In a busy document, though, it can be hard to follow which comments or chat messages refer to a particular section. Clearer links from discussions to the relevant content, plus better ways to filter or resolve old threads, would make collaboration easier.
Evernote makes it easy to capture notes and keep reference material in one place. When I’m trying to find something later, though, the results can include a lot of loosely related notes. More precise filters—such as notebook, date, and attachment type—would make search more useful, especially in a large archive.
I use Notion to keep notes and organize projects, and it’s flexible enough to support many different workflows. That flexibility can feel overwhelming when starting a new workspace. A few more guided setup suggestions and clearer examples of how databases, pages, and AI features fit together would make it easier to get organized quickly.
