Founder launch guide

5 Free AI Tool Directories to Submit To in 2026

We checked Google results to identify the directories founders are most likely to encounter, verified current submission terms on the official sites, and compared the domains in Ahrefs on August 5, 2026. The guide keeps only directories drawing at least 10,000 organic visits a month, so it includes 5 no-cost routes plus the major paid alternatives for context.

Prioritize reach before quantity

Most free AI directory lists are padded with sites almost nobody visits, and a listing on a site with no audience is worth close to nothing. AIxploria, The Rundown, Future Tools, and AI Tools Directory are the no-cost routes with real search reach. Compare them with the paid leaders before deciding where your time or money is justified.

Method

How this directory list was checked

We first checked Google results for “free AI tool directories to submit” and “best AI tool directories” to identify the names founders are most likely to find. We then opened each official submission page and recorded the current route, price, timing, and main condition.

Ahrefs Batch Analysis supplied Domain Rating and estimated monthly organic search traffic for all countries. Any directory drawing fewer than 10,000 organic visits a month was dropped, whether its route was free or paid, because a listing there reaches too few people to repay the work of preparing it. Link type was checked on a published listing where possible; otherwise we used an explicit statement on the official submission page or marked it as not verified.

Submission rules can change. Check the linked form again before preparing a listing, and track the date submitted, approval, published URL, referral visits, and any follow-up work in your own launch sheet.

Questions before submitting

Free AI directory submission FAQs

Are AI tool directory submissions really free?

The 5 free submission routes in this guide currently have a no-cost option. Most still require editorial approval and some run a long queue, so free does not always mean unconditional or guaranteed.

What do I need before submitting an AI tool?

Prepare the official URL, a factual tagline, a short description, the primary category, pricing model, logo, product screenshot, and a working contact email. Keep the facts consistent across every directory.

Should I submit my AI tool to every directory?

No. Start with directories that match your product and have clear current submission rules. Track approvals and referral visits, then continue only when the time spent is justified.

Do AI directory listings guarantee traffic or rankings?

No. A listing can create another discovery path, but it does not guarantee visitors, customers, backlinks, or search rankings. Results depend on the directory, the listing quality, and whether its audience needs your product.

Why are smaller free directories not listed here?

This guide only keeps directories drawing at least 10,000 organic visits a month. Plenty of other sites accept free submissions, but a listing on a page almost nobody visits returns little for the time it takes to prepare.

Can I submit a non-AI software product to Siteefy?

Yes. Siteefy accepts eligible AI tools, SaaS products, software, and online services. The other directories in this guide may require AI to be a core part of the product.
