TACHYONS uses single purpose classes as composable building blocks for layouts and responsive components. Its mobile-first base classes can be overridden at larger breakpoints. You can change class names, media queries, breakpoints, and values for your project. Most selectors have a specificity of 10, so TACHYONS does not override existing styles.

Shallow cascade
When you apply a class to an element, there is nothing in the cascade to override its effects.
Low specificity
The majority of Tachyons selectors have a specificity of 10. Tachyons won’t override your existing styles. So feel free to lay it on top of your existing css.
